I'm Tara, the creative mind and heart behind Sixpence Signage. As a new mom and lifelong Southern Californian, I took the leap from a corporate job into the wedding industry, where my passion for design has evolved into a specialized signage business.
I'm thrilled to be a part of making your wedding dreams a reality! Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, but my friendly and enthusiastic personality will help put you at ease. My background in corporate event planning combined with my work with Pretty Palm Leaf Events has given me unique insights into creating memorable celebrations.
I'm detail-oriented and creative, ensuring that every aspect of your wedding signage is thoughtfully designed and perfectly executed. My signs become more than just directional pieces—they're meaningful elements that enhance the atmosphere of your special day.

Tara's Story
On the other side of this venture is my husband Matthew. While weddings weren't originally in his life plan, Matthew was actually the visionary behind Sixpence Signage, encouraging me to start the business based on my creative talents. Self-taught in craftsmanship, he enjoyed woodworking and mechanical work on his boat growing up, and gained valuable expertise working alongside my dad, a professional carpenter. Now, Matthew serves as a full-time firefighter for Burbank, bringing his precision and calm-under-pressure mindset to our business.
He began dedicating his off-duty hours to join me in our signage venture and discovered a new passion for creating custom builds. Outside our creative business, he's the kind of guy who transforms ordinary moments into adventures. He is the ultimate busy body who loves fishing, surfing, and trying new drink and food recipes.
Matthew's favorite part of what we do is the moment when he can finally step back to admire the finished product on wedding day with all the extra touches that bring it all together.
